A result of a collaboration with the Industrial Design students at the University La Sapienza of Rome, Giuggiola is an armchair by Calia Italia that exalts the beauty and strength of women and is inspired by the “crocchie” (the braids with which women who lived in the Sassi collected their hair). Available in fabric in select few colours with fixed or swivel base and storage seat versions.

Calia Italia started in 1965, producing a single kind of product conceived to make people feel good: upholstered furniture. Since then, they have been manufacturing sofas with an accessible, democratic design with care and attention to detail to reach any place in the world.
